Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actor. Also, she sings. However her greatest breakthrough came when she appeared in the role in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway performance of Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. In the year following, she appeared on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. Known as a singer she released her own single and an extended show. Also, she's been an advocate for LGBT concerns.
