Carly Rae Jepsen, born in Mission British Columbia Canada on 21 November 1985. By the time Carly Rae graduated from high school, she had already performed in shows of talent in her community. She was a student at the Canadian College of Performing Arts following her graduation from high school in Victoria. She was able to make it into the Top 3 of The Canadian Idol fifth season. In 2008, she debuted Tug of War as her debut album. Album was successful, peaking at #6 on the Canadian Albums charts. The singer released her follow-up album Kiss in 2012, which produced the hit song Call Me Maybe. It was an international hit, topping charts in over 18 countries. More than 15 million albums were sold. She has since released three albums, received numerous awards and been nominated twice for Grammys.
